I'm here to nominate Daphne Lantier to be our next Commons admin, and the first admin of 2017. Daphne started out editing in December of 2013 under the user name Rosario Berganza. Under that account she was autopatrolled and had 6000+ edits with 564 edits in the Commons namespace. She worked mainly on simple DR/CSD tagging. In August of 2015 her computer crashed and she lost the auto-generated password to her account. August of 2015 is the last time she used the account and she has no access to it. After getting a replacement computer she registered her current account. Under her current account she has 24,000 edits, with 300+ in the Commons namespace; she's also an active Image Reviewer and Patroller.

I think Daphne has the experience to make a good admin, especially in dealing with closing simple DRs and deleting clear copyvios. I've had to have my password reset with the help of WMFOffice, so I can understand how a password can be lost. Daphne has been a steady and productive editor with both accounts. We need help quite badly in handling simple admin tasks, and I'm sure Daphne can learn and grow as she goes if she's given a shot at adminship. I hope the community is willing to give her that opportunity. Thank you for your consideration. lNeverCry 03:01, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Acceptance: Thank you INeverCry. I accept the nomination. I would like to help out with closing simple DRs (personal pics, promotional stuff, poor quality images, etc) and with deleting the numerous obvious copyright violations that are uploaded to Commons each day. These are the areas I would start out with. As I gain experience I would maybe branch out into other admin work. I would do so slowly and carefully. Thanks everyone and have a good day.
