Lopsided Main Page
{{Edit request}} Today's POD is in portrait mode (3,309 × 4,965 pixels), making the Main Page look lopsided (too deep on the left column). When this happens, can we rearrange the panes to put either the "Media of the day" or "Participating" pane on the bottom of the right column instead? — 🇺🇦Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me🇺🇦 11:46, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
Time to change the "Tweet" links for Picture of the Day and Media of the Day
Twitter has changed quite significantly since these links were originally put in place, and it seems time to think about getting rid of them. Daniel Mietchen (talk) 10:35, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support It would be best avoiding Twitter/X. Yann (talk) 10:38, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Support I really don't see a need. Let's just avoid X. ─ The Aafī (talk) 12:52, 23 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds good to me. I would suggest replacing it with a link to the fedi-share tool, to promote sharing on the Fediverse. Legoktm (talk) 04:14, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Change needed to "Participating" block
Please remove "to the right" because direction is display-dependent (content referred to here is at the bottom of my tablet display) Blainster (talk) 20:02, 30 January 2024 (UTC)
Uploading photo of someone else with permission
I was given permission to upload a photo someone else took and am trying to upload it to Wikimedia Commons. I intend to get the owner of the photo to send an email giving their permission for the photo's use and I tried to follow the steps as outlined here https://whoseknowledge.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Giving-Consent-for-Images-on-Wikipedia.pdf but this information seems to be out of date, as using the tag "subst:OP" didn't work.
Any help appreciated. Thank you, IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 18:36, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- @IOHANNVSVERVS: Could you please share the file-link you are talking about? Matters related to permissions are however dealt on COM:VRT. ─ Aafī (talk) 18:56, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- This is the image I'm hoping to upload https://imgur.com/KroCfLx, for the article Big Lonely Doug. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 19:07, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
- The COM:VRT link was helpful. Thank you. IOHANNVSVERVS (talk) 19:59, 7 February 2024 (UTC)
POTD is not updated daily
{{Edit request}} The picture of the day is updated quite unreliably. From February 9th till 14th it showed the same picture, updating only today (15th) to the correct one as collected in Commons:Picture_of_the_day. Can this be fixed? Zweibrot (talk) 11:46, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
Typo on “Media Of The Day” Needs to be corrected.
“Warntag nation wide test alarm in Germany via Cell Broadcast, schedulued to start at 11:00 but starting a few seconds early”. “Schedulued” should be corrected to “Scheduled”. Vivbyte (talk) 13:29, 23 February 2024 (UTC)
